Institute Park tower and Riley house at corner of West and Salisbury Streets #2 |
| Subject |
Norse Tower |
| Description |
The Norse Tower stood at the corner of West and Salisbury street. The lack of tree cover in Institute park helped it tower over the surrounding area. A landmark quite difficult to ignore. While the date of the photograph is unknown, the presence of Institute Park bridge in the background confirms it was taken before 1922. Additionally, the lack of fencing around the tower means it was most likely taken before the tower was declared unsafe in 1907. |
