The Friends of Institute Park is a group comprised of volunteers who advocate for the preservation and improvement of Institute Park.

Park Spirit is an advocacy group for Worcester's park system. Their advocacy played a significant role in the development of the East-West Trail through Worcester, which crosses Institute Park.
